i've been staying busy on things, just haven't had much time for updating... i finished curran's little sweater and i've got the body done on estin's. hoping to get his finished in time to take some pictures for a holiday card, here are a couple pics...

wip - holiday shawl

i'm working on this shawl for a gift for a special friend. i love how it's turning out and it's a very easy pattern. i'm halfway done! the beautiful yarn is from dashing dachs.

i made dade's first, no pattern, and the decreases are not pretty...

then i made brian's and thought about the decreases more, wrote some things down, and really like how it turned out!

new-to-me swap

i participated in a new-to-me crap swap recently. the idea was to make something that we've never made before - try a new pattern or use a new media. it was fun! i received these gorgeous coasters that were hand knit and needle felted. i love how each one is unique.

i also received this beautiful necklace - i was amazed that these were first time attempts!

here is what i made - a recycled jeans skirt (i admit, i have made a couple of these before, but never for anyone else!), and a cable knit bag that i lined with fabric. i did the bag straight out my head and was pleased with how it turned out!

here's a little preview of the pants i'm sending in for licensing. the colorway is gnome and it's from zen string. the yarn is an amazingly soft blend of bfl and merino wool. very nice to knit with!

wide open...

i just finished a pair of baby pants to send in for licensing approval. i have nothing on the needles now which feels kinda funny. so i'm wide open and decided to jump on the blog wagon and get started. i have way too many projects on my list it's hard to decide what to cast on for next...stay tuned...
