wip - holiday shawl

i'm working on this shawl for a gift for a special friend. i love how it's turning out and it's a very easy pattern. i'm halfway done! the beautiful yarn is from dashing dachs.

hats for my boys

i made dade's first, no pattern, and the decreases are not pretty...

then i made brian's and thought about the decreases more, wrote some things down, and really like how it turned out!

new-to-me swap

i participated in a new-to-me crap swap recently. the idea was to make something that we've never made before - try a new pattern or use a new media. it was fun! i received these gorgeous coasters that were hand knit and needle felted. i love how each one is unique.

i also received this beautiful necklace - i was amazed that these were first time attempts!

here is what i made - a recycled jeans skirt (i admit, i have made a couple of these before, but never for anyone else!), and a cable knit bag that i lined with fabric. i did the bag straight out my head and was pleased with how it turned out!
